One of the nearby motorcycle shops here swears by it. They put in in all wheels when tire is replaced, added it to one of my tires when I needed a new front. I didn't notice any difference, I guess it just worked.

Not read any reports that would convince me to use the product.

Rather use some proprietary tyre sealant such as 'PunctureSafe' or the like. Does a similar function in addition to reducing the risk of anything short of a traumatic puncture.

That's my reaction as well. The shop used Dyna-Beads with my most recent tire change and the shop owner thinks they're great. I have had no issues since then. Maybe they made a big difference; maybe new tires made the difference. If the shop owner wants to use them again next time, no problem.
