To answer your question about the Helix, we have to run quite a ways up the highway (65/70 north, in this case) to get to some of the good riding areas like LaPorte, so when Miss Donna and her Helix started coming along, I was a bit worried. Donna is 70 years old, but she's been riding for 50 years, so I learned quickly that her skills were fine. Her Helix does quite well and has no trouble keeping up until elevation gets over 4500' or so...then the carburetor jetting just doesn't quite work as well, so her top speed is limited to 45-50 on the straights and slight upgrades...otherwise, on the flats or at lower elevations, 70-75 indicated is no problem for her....
