| Don't know about you, but I love Harley s. I love quickly catching up to them in the hills, staying behind awhile so they can see my flashing head light. (head light modulator) and blue spot lights on the lower tubes and have them look at me a few times, making sure I'm not a cop just before passing them silent and deadly like a cobra then letting them come up next to me at a stop and out of the corner of my eye feel the envy before taking off leaving them to change gears to try and catch up. I love Harley's Yesterday was a nice day. I rode next to a new BMW 1200 and I said while at a stop. When I grow up (I am 64) I want one of those. Know what he said? I wish I had one of those. |

Is that legal in California?? When I researched a couple of years ago, a lot of states do not allow any direct blue lights ... because that could be the color for police or emergency vehicles. |

| I was invited to ride with half doz crusers riders 80KL away for a coffee run.I decided to go. Big mistake , now I know why I like to ride alone.Loud pipes, after 15kl my ears were ring, and was getting fumes smells .Two riders in front of me ,one hit the soft gravel and ran 300 yards before going back on the pavement. I had pass by them to catch up with the others, only to be behind even louder pipes, I pass them from 100 klh to 165 klh . They soon disapered behind me ,then went to 110 kl normal speed for me.Riding in groups is not for me. The boys told me that they were being over taken by a crotch rocket, they were impress ,but I cant ride with them anymore. :lol!: |

| They must be legal. I have used them for 1 year now and passed many black and whites in that time. Every once and a while I will get the old hand on top of the helmet indicating police ahead but most of the time they are not there. One way or another, every one can see me coming and that is the whole point. |

The people I ride with are all real nice and not to smelly or loud. A few days ago ridding with them one of the girls that just spent $18,000 on her new bike was complaining about how hot the motor was right next to her legs. As it turned out, the catalytic converter makes the bike run much hotter and now she needs to spend a few hundred more to replace the pipes. Another great idea from Harley

| You must have stronger ears than me. If I can't get by one I'll pull over and look at the scenery for a while to let them get away. Hate those straight pipes and not just on Harleys. |

| I've had a triumph tt road racer, suzuki S50, BSA thumper, Honda 80, Kaw 500, 800 Suzuki trike, 6 Harleys including the 65 Pan I still own. But I feel my 2002 Silverwing is like a quiet magic carpet ride compared to all the others. I even have kept my last harley (bought in 75) pretty quiet. I think most of the current harley riders mostly ride for show. I covered a lot of territory and if I had ridden with the pipes these mid life crises harley riders use now, I'd be deaf. My son-in-law has the Harley now. I won't give or sell it to him but I'll leave it to him in a will. Maybe they will be nice to me until I kick off. |

| I like how many look at the Harley rider as being all tough and such. When it got cold last winter, in the low 20's, I only saw "scooters" out on the rode as I was riding mine. I didn't see many other bikes till about mid March.
It is also fun to pull away to avoid all the noise. |

| When the weather gets cold each year , I too don't see many other bikes till about mid March. That is when I realize what a GREAT bike the SilverWing is.... |

| Most of the poor Harley riders don't have the weather protection that we have with the Silver Wing. No windshield and no fairing to protect you from the elements.
