| Hi everyone, just a note to say I'm a new owner of a Silver Wing. Having traded-in my very quick & trusty SH300i last Saturday, I've had my SW for 3 days and done a whole 20miles so far... I'm looking forward to doing a few long rides before the cold weather sets in however as I now see what everyone means about the air blast round the head from the stock screen, I guess I've no choice but to get a Givi Airflow asap! Having legshield wind deflectors fitted was a good move - no cold breeze up the trouser legs! |

| Welcome to the site! I'm sure Waspie will be along in a moment to say hello!
It'll be nice for you to have someone local to you, especially someone who knows a lot about the Wing.
You will find the Givi AirFlow an excellent choice, and value for money - certainly made a huge difference to the ride for me.
Graham. |

| Hello and welcome from me, too! I shall be moving to Salisbury later in the year so will be looking for riding 'companions' in that neck of the woods. Waspie is the Number One man down there. Givi Airflow - worth every penny! |

| Hello mate, You're right about the leg wind deflectors, two expensive bits of plastic they may be, and far too expensive for most of our American friends as well but they make a great deal of difference in cold or wet weather. |

| Hi Atric, I'm just along the road on Fraggle Rock. (Portland). Don't do ride outs, I'm mainly a commuter rider. I do like the WIng though and yes a Givi AF214 vis the way to go. It appears that very few folk who have one actually end up changing it ort gong back to stock. I would recommend you listen or read Meldrew's story regards the upper part of the airflow screen. That said - has it put him off the Airflow - Nope! That for me speaks volumes. Anyway, nice to have you on board. |

| Thanks for the warm welcome, fellas. The SW is certainly "leisurely" compared to my SH300i but hopefully will improve as the engine loosens up...!! Incidentally, my local Honda dealer tells me they're sending out 3-4 sets of leg wind deflectors to the USA each week as they're not easily obtainable out there. This makes a change as it's often cheaper to import parts from there for my Harley than to buy them here!! |

| Other member may be interested to know who your dealer is; the one people seem to use most often is in SE England and it's handy to have an alternative. |

| Hello and Welcome,
Good choice on the Airflow. To avoid the top section from disapearing just make sure that the two tabs that hold it in place are tight enough so that there is a bit of resistance on the cam just before it snaps closed. Easy to do with a 10mm socket on the nuts, They dont want to be overtight so start then off slack and tighten them in small increments.
Cheers, |
