The Swing has been sitting in my garage, a little unloved and unused for the past 6 months, so i have regretfully decided it is really quite potty to keep her any longer.

A sultry, Black beast has tempted me back to big wheels in May and the lure of 1000cc of v-twin was just that little bit too much for me to resist earlier in the year. The Vara has been great fun over the past 7K miles across france and Ireland and at the end of the month, either Tuscany or Scotland. (I know, different choice!! All depends on the weather...)

I rode the scoot up the farm lane for the last time today and it came back immediately why I like it so much, one, I can touch the ground easily. Smile I would love to have kept it for a hack around and shopping vehicle, but the insurance/tax/depreciation on two machines was silly.

So goodbye Gertrude, you changed my way of thinking about scoots and we had some good fun together, somehow I can see me with another one in a couple of years time... BUT I want more power and proper suspension first please Mr Honda.

I'll keep popping in here, the denizens are a nice bunch and usually understand that the true way, is that what makes you smile when on 2 wheels doesn't have to conform to someone else's preconceptions.... Oh buggrit, I'm going over all Zen... Too much Jamesons...

See you all soon

Stay safe Steve, like you say it's the fun not the machine that matters! Smile

Au revoir, I guess.
I hope you won't disappear; I for one will be interested on your riding adventures whatever bike they're on.

Ride safe.

Thank you all for the kind words, they are much appreciated!

Bit of a pain this morning as the sun was shining and the Tour of Britain was passing through a nice hours ride away and I wanted to watch the lads on one of the big climbs, but a crash on the M54 meant that my appointment at 9.30 arrived at 10.15, so I was not able to get away in time... Bummer!!

So tomorrow morning, a nice tootle across to Leominster, then Hay on Wye and then down to Brecon to watch it there! Smile With a wee detour on the way back, that should be a nice 200 miler "business" trip!! Wink

small moped motorcycle Thanks for all your input to the forum. You know you are welcome, no matter what you ride. Isn't that what it's all about.
