| You don't want to wire them up to the battery as leaving them switched on will drain it - you'll keep warm though pushing it home!
Find a suitable point off the ignition barrel so that they are switched off when you turn off the ignition. - This is probably why Waspie's are fed from near the ignition.

From memory my Honda fitted heated grips are connected to the cables going to the switchgear/brake switches. I'd have to remove the plastic to see which ones. There must be a switched positive and negative there...

You can get a 12 volt power plug with a 6 foot cable, and feed it to the glove box.

It can be done by fishing the wires under the black plastic part below the seat . I ran a one peace power plug to the left glove box and ran the oxfords heatzer supply up to the handle bar cover then to the grips. Everything is out of the way. Take your time it is not that difficult .

Somewhere on here there's a blow-by-blow about how to do it so the cable runs through the body under the left-hand foot-board. A SEARCH should find it.
