| Hello everyone, About 2 months ago I was thinking of getting a silverwing, every time I search for info and reviews on this bike 90% of time I was directed to a post on this forum. Having owned and ridden many bikes in the past , from super fast sport bikes to my honda xl 125 commuter bike, I decided to take the plunge and buy a silverwing. I have now owned my 2009 wing for a month now and ride it every day and love every minute. I find this forum very helpful and I will continue enjoying and learning from this forum.
Thank you |

| Hello and welcome. Your story sounds like mine: lotsa bikes -from 125 to 1000cc- before eventually opting for a ('The Best') comfy, powerfull no-nonsense scoot. Greetings from over the Channel. |

| No modifications on mine yet, but like some ideas I've seen on here. Getting some heated grips this weekend to help me through the uk winter. Then wanting a topbox but the wife is insisting on a back rest to make her even more comfy |

| I too fitted a back rest for Mrs Waspie. Givi do one. The holes on the backrest line up with the pre drilled holes on the Wing!! The fitting instructions show you which holes to drill out to accept the rest!
My grips are factory fit but in the cold months they are invaluable. That said, a pair of Gebring heated gloves may be an option to explore. That way the back of your hands are warmed as well as the palms!
Just an idea. |
