I thought I had aleady introduced myself but I can not locate the post so....Hello, I just picked up a 2003 Silver Wing and looking forward to rotating the air in the tires. I looked around for a friendly, informative board and it looks like you guys are it. I also ride a blue 2005 Gold Wing. It currently has 100k+ miles on clock but age is slowing me down some. Maybe the scooter will help but I intend to keep the GWing for long distance riding. I am really trying to remember that the left lever is NOT a clutch lever.

welcome applause welcome
Bluemoon, welcome to the forum. Yes you have to watch that clutch lever or you may end up on the road quick. You will get used to the rear brake in no time and I know you will love your "new" Silvering.

Welcome Mastercchief Bluemoon and thanks for your service. I mastered the clutch, but still find myself wanting to downshift sometimes ( I guess that left foot hates being left out).

Welcome Bluemoon! What part of Kentucky are you from? I live near Bardstown and have not seen many other SWing riders in this part of the state.

Welcome Bluemoon! I ride round abouts Nashville TN and the best ride I've had so far was to Louisville KY to a great motorcycle outlet store.

Found some great bargains, had a great ride and got to listen to some good live music and have a few beers at a bar that was walking distance from the hotel.

If you ever ride thru TN on your travels feel free to give me a shout, but watch out for the public restrooms, I hear they are terrible!

Welcome to the forum. We have been to Kentucky several times. Some of the greatest roads to scooter on.Probably our last long ride of the season was to Mammoth cave(1300 miles) two weeks ago.We came back on 231 to 65(not our choice of road) just north of Indianapolis for about 10 miles and thought we were going to get blown off the highway.Had to go west and take 41 north to Illinois and rode the last hour in a potential hurricane.
