Cool Hi,

I bought my 2006 Silverwing in August and have put over 500 miles on it. I have only been riding for a little over 2 years and started on a 1981 Honda Express SR (49cc). Last year it wouldn't start (no compression) and I upgraded to a 2008 Yamaha Vino 125. This year I decided to move up and bought the Silverwing.

After getting used to the size & weight difference, I have been riding it exclusively. I have been enjoying it mainly in town but have taken it on a short poker run (about 50 miles) around town.

I plan on taking a road trip to the west coast next summer and am really looking forward to the adventure! bounce

Adrienne

Welcome Adrienne.
The Silverwing is a lovely scooter for touring, though it has one downside: you never want to get off of it ;-)
I bought mine last September and have done over 2000 km already (1250 miles)

Thank you for all your welcomes! I haven't had a chance to get back on the forum to tell you I appreciated the warm welcome.

I had a screw in my back tire so ended up replacing it. I could have ridden it one more week if that hadn't happened! Cool

I am in Billings. Got to ride my S'wing 2 days last week as we have no snow. A bit chilly in the morning and gusty winds during the day but that didn't stop me! santa

Hey there fellow SWinger

I just relocated to S Florida after 38 years in Montana. Still go back and forth.

I'm tellin ya....wish I had my bike in Montana. I'da been doing the Fire & Ice tour - and I highly recommend it!

Fire & Ice = Yellowstone and Glacier.

The only way to see the parks is on a bike.

Can't encourage you strongly enough to give her a run. Carefull in Jellystone though - those Bison can be cantankerous! You could outrun em though.....

Have FUN!

Adienne,

Welcome to the site and congrats on your new SWing. It is a great scoot and you will really enjoy it more when the weather gets nicer there. Look around the site and if you have any questions please just ask.

Back in Montana myself for a few weeks. I'm about 350 miles North of you.

If you putt this way at all - give a holler and look me up!

Helena/Lincoln/Missoula area is where I'm at.

Watch for the dang deer though! They can pile up a rider and hurt you BAD. Don't fall for the deer whistles or flashing your lights.....use your horn. Startle response works better - and they usually run to get away, rather than jumping in front of you.

MamaConnect - Helena/Lincoln/Missoula is more northwest! I was thinking you were by the Canadian border at first. Weather isn't good enough for a weekend road trip yet or I might have taken you up on it!

Dennis - got the GPS mount on and it looks great. Now to work on the wiring!
