| I think that is a CanAm. A local Honda dealer here in PA sells them. HBWJr |

| Well done guys, you are right.
I've found a UK dealer with videos and specifications: http://www.atvxtreme.com/category-599.html
100bhp, v-twin, loaded with electronics and expensive... I'd love to try one :D

| I thought about buying one a couple of years back. Checking the company's support history (which in my opinion was dire) and reliability issues than some owners had had (nineteen returns with one machine in twelve months for one poor owner) I decided against it. Plus the fact they are damned expensive for a three wheeled snowmobile! As it turned out I bought a Silverwing instead, hence me being on this forum.

| Also their "safety feature" that slows you down if you try and take a turn too fast so that all the wheels stay on the ground, doesn't work all that well. Or at least it didn't a few years ago.
I was riding my Swing to brunch one morning when I noticed a tent where they were having an advertising promotion in the parking lot of the local casino. Went to check it out. Keep in mind I am used to brakes on both handlebars, no clutch, no foot controls, and 582cc. After there video and safety lecture I got on their 990cc where the controls were in all the "wrong" places. I promptly took a turn too fast got up on two wheels, as I landed back on for hit the gas again, hit a curb stone, launched about 2 feet in the air. Made a perfect 3 point landing, got the machine under control, and stopped. They came over to make sure I was okay. I got off the trike, thanked them for the adventure, and walked back to my bike.
Can Ams are for Goldwingers who don't want to balance.

| Nah, those kind of Goldwingers usually trike their 'Wings. Still better than a Can Am. It seems to me they are a little under gunned, for such a big machine with a rather large frontal area a 900cc engine seems a bit small after the six cylinder 1800 on a Goldwing. Add to that the GW gets almost the same mileage as a SW.

| Indeed my '01 Goldwing was a six as was my '93 before that. I had all three four cylinder models before that one too so I guess it's an old age brain fart. Nonetheless my 1800 averaged 40-43mpg and my Silverwing around 45-47mpg. That isn't much difference considering the size, weight and horsepower of the two bikes. I suspect the lack of fuel economy in the SW is because of the CVT compared to a manual transmission. |

| The Spyder has a 998cc engine so I think calling it a 1 litre (1000cc) engine is far more accurate than saying it is a 900cc lump.
Still an expensive snowmobile!

| My apologies to the Can Am. That extra 98ccs obviously accounts for the poor mileage. |

| Just like we call our 582cc Silverwings 600s. I guess the lack of 18cc's accounts for our poor performance. |

| I have no complaints with the power on the SWing! I do not make a habit of cruising at over 100 mph... It will cruise at 80 easily and that is more than enough for this "old" guy!!! As long as I don't get run over on the freeways I am happy!!! |

| Honda became generous with the GW1500 and 1800 in that the displacement of both was greater than the badge. You get 20ccs extra with the 1500 and as already mentioned 32cc extra with the 1800. |
