| ...or "where is a camera when you want one? This morning was the day I needed to get the paperwork done on my toy and get a Kansas license plate on it. Since I purchased it out of state, I needed to get it inspected first. The Kansas vehicle inspector was a very petite, well-dressed woman who looked like she would be doing anything except inspecting motor vehicles. It was really priceless watching the changing expressions on her face as she realized she was going to have to lay down in the street and look under the scooter to read the VIN off the frame! :lol!: But she was a trooper and got the job done! And she didn't even get her office attire "too" dirty. |

| My 02 s-wing has the VIN posted on a sticker right on the fairing below the handlebars, in plain sight. Is this unusual? |

| Very unusual and a VIN number has to be stamped on where is cannot be altered. Anyone can stick a sticker on but does it read the correct number? I bet in your case a previous owner made the sticker using the correct number. You can either look under the scoot for the VIN or I assume like in the UK it is printed on your equivalent of a log-sheet.
Cheers, |

| It looks very similar to the sticker usually found on the steering column of a motorcycle. I'll take a photo and upload it.
Where would I find the VIN on the frame? I should verify it. I don't know what a log-sheet is in this context. Obviously the VIN is on the vehicle title and the vehicle registration, but that's just paper. |

It should have an illustration showing the location. |
