| Let's hope that nobody here (or their families and friends) are affected by the recent explosions in Boston or West.

| Let's keep the families of the victims and the survivors in our hearts and minds and hope that justice is swift to the perpetrators of the Boston attack. Ditto for the fertilizer plant explosion in Waco, whether accidental or another act of terrorism. |

| These kinds of terrorist acts are cowardly actions of 'people' that don't fit in our society. Sadly, we've had our fair share of this sh*t over here, in Europe, too.
I was on duty on dec 4, 1985, when the Bank of America in the city of Antwerp was bombed by a terrorist gang, called the CCC. Fortunately there were no victims then, only (a lot of) damage to buildings. Nevertheless, the distress was enormous. It's one of those things one never forgets. |

| Trouble is, the police have now shot and killed one of them.
He may well have been guilty, but then again, he may not. Maybe he was just a scared young man whose face had been (perhaps mistakenly) plastered across the world's press. A rabbit caught in headlights.
Innocent until proven guilty? .... at the end of a gun barrel! If justice is nothing more than society's revenge, then, as the old maxim goes, it is a dish best served cold.
Society then, at least, has the chance to ask "Why?". If you don't ask, you never learn.

Well, you can quit wasting your sorrows for that piece of scum... Looks like the most recent information has firmly disproved that theory. It's hard to dismiss homemade hand grenades and pressure cooker bombs that have been thrown at pursuing police officers... and then one of them blowing up in your face. How ironic. Or was it? At any rate, it's a shame they couldn't have nabbed him and "obtained" some useful info. And yes, our prayers here at my location are all going out to those victims and families too. |

| At least they just got the 2nd guy alive. And the 1st guy was reported to have been wearing an explosive vest and some of his injuries were reported to be from sometype of explosion. So it is good they caught this guy alive and my prayers are with all of the victims and their families.
Let's hope things can calm down now. It has been very busy here in the U.S. this week. |
