hello from the SW moorlands

Hi all, just joined. A bit of background.

I bought my Swing in 2008, and had two months gentle running in, before being posted to a rather high part of the world running a farm, with no opportunity to ride a bike. 5 years later I am back in the UK, and surprise, - a flat battery Smile

Having sorted out a jump start, the bike started, on residual fuel, after about 20 seconds.

Oh I should add, that I did less than 1000 miles before laying the bike up, so my next task is to sort out an MOT and a service. Is this some kind of low mileage record ?

Can I make a suggestion - put UK and county in your location, it gives others a better idea of where you are.

I sure wish I had an 08 with only 1000 miles on it. You are lucky you got it to run on 5 year old fuel. Think how good it should run with new fuel in it. I know you will enjoy your SilverWing now you have some time to ride it.
