| I sold my SW last week to a friend in Nevada who's planning on adding a Danson kit to it. I intended to keep it along with my GW but it was just too tight in the garage. I expect I'll have another SW eventually when I decide to hang up the spurs on the big long distance bike. I am looking forward to trying out my old SW with the Danson kit in a couple months. While I don't have a Silverwing right now I plan on lurking here and adding a comment now and then if I can be of any help. |

| Please stick around! Many of us here need all the good advice we can get, and I think A GW'er brings a lot to the table (from the ones I know)!
I can tell you that it's hard to get scooters out of your blood. I started on one (a 250 Elite), then moved up to a "real" motorcycle (A Suzuki VStrom). But I realized after 4 years of riding it that I missed my scooter!
I do miss shifting, but that's the only thing, really. Maybe if I had more room in my garage, and less empty space in my wallet I would have something else, too. But I am a scooterist at heart, and now I have the "Gold Standard" for scooters! You'll be back.
I even talked my BMW/ST1300 owning brother into a Helix. Bwa-ha-ha. Turing people to the dark side.......and I don't mean car tires on the back of your bike. Our dark side is way more fun, and the folks sneering at us don't have a clue what they're missing!
My favorites are the people in Georgia on "real" motorcyles sneering at me. At least till they see my Virginia plates. And my little scooter didn't go all that way on some darn shiny trailer.
But no GW'er has ever said an unkind word to me, and they always wave. Many have asked about my scooter, said maybe their wives would consider one, or they could have one for commuting.
Anywsay, you can see I do ramble. But wanted to ask you not to be a stranger! |

| I know how it is, I traded my Wing for a Shadow Aero and will give that up for a Victory Cross Country Tour, but I plan to get a Helix for a nice little project eventually. |
