| Hope I did this right - when I clicked on "Preview" I didn't see the images, but Jeff R's message said to do this and the images would appear in the posting... So... Anyway, anybody recognize those "crash bars" on my SWing? Al Carter |

| I got pictures. No idea who makes the crash bars, but I do like the piping around the seat. |

| Made by a German company called Fehling.
PS I can see the pictures - of course!

| Don't know the make or model they came off, but they're pretty cool. Makes the scooter much more angular, whih I like. |

| I can see them OK. They give a neat look to your scoot; not sure how much protection they would give but what the heck... |

| Greydog, they don't "come off" anything. The company (Fehling) "tailor make" them to fit a specific bike. They come in sections (front/foot board - sides/rear - front mudguard - exhaust) which I think can be purchased separately. They are NOT cheap.
There were some on the first Burgman I bought. I didn't like them, so took them off and sold them. I've also seen some sections on Piaggio X9s.
Just a note. If you're short in the leg or have trouble reaching the ground when seated, the foot board ones can be a problem as they add to the overall width.

| I would like to have them, but I wouldn't want to pay as much they cost either. I think they look good and agree they wouldn't be much protection. And I have no problem seeing the pictures. |

| Sorry about that, Colin. I mistakenly read your post wrong. I still like them. I couldn't use those flooboards, as I am short of leg. I'm sure you get a lot of admiring looks while you ride! |

| What I don't understand are the reflectors on the TOP of the front fender. Perhaps so an airplane can see you? |

That's OK. I bought my first Burgman from *someone who likes "bling"*. He'd fitted them when the bike was new and liked them so much he bought the lot back from me when I removed them. I didn't like the "flashy" look and also found the bike difficult to clean and polish with them on. They may be stainless steel, but they pit and rust. They are quite heavy too. *So much did this chap like "bling", he had a pair of silver mirrored sunglasses. They were mirrored on the inside so he could look at himself all the time!!! |

You mean those are not stock reflectors on the top of the fender? Al Carter |

| Yes they are stock reflectors, but normally they are on the side of the fender not the top. I'm not sure but I believe they would go wear the bottom bar that covers the fender. They are meant to be seen from the side, like the red ones on the back. |
