Hi.  I posted on here a long time ago about known
Silverwing issues.  A Suzuki fan, I was still reeling
after reading about the serious Burgman 650 issues.

(I still own and am happy with my Burgman 400--quite
fond of it and just spent $500 for a new stock exhaust,
will likely keep it as my commuter.)

So I was kind of shocked and happy to find that
there weren't really any serious issues with
the Silverwing.  I rented one for two hours (from
a private party) and was happy.  Been waiting and
happened upon a decent deal so I jumped on it.
Took delivery yesterday.  I can die peacefully now.

(I browsed the owner's manual in the middle of the
night.  Holy heck!  Sparkplugs accessible from a panel
under the seat.  Eight-K oil change intervals.  Nary
a need for valve clearance adjustments.  Do I sound
pleased with my purchase?)

Hi lowkey,
I know the feeling all too well. Got my Swing 4 days ago, and my folk and friends tell me that I have a permanent grin on my face !!! I read a lot about this bike and a whole bunch of others and settled on the Swing. My first ride was thrilling and beyond my expectations. It had been sitting for about 5 years, but did not miss a beat on the way home. She's truly a beautiful beast: sleek, responsive and easy to live with. I hope the honeymoon lasts a long long time.
Welcome to the forum: lots of good info, light reading and some gentle ribbing thrown in to keep everyone entertained.

Welcome and Good choice! We are on our second Silverwing and couldn't be happier, my sweetie has had a Burgman 400, Vespa gtv 300 and now the Silverwing. She is more confident riding the Honda more than the other two. I had a Silverwing while we were back east and put more miles it than my other bike.
