Greetings from Houston/Kingwood TX. First I must apologize for not making this introduction much earlier.  To be completely honest, when I first purchased my SW I wanted to find a carrier for the back of my new toy and found this forum.  With unabashed shame I did a search and found what I needed and then vanished.  After a few years I finally had a minor issue with my SW and did a Google.  Yes, this site came up again but this time I entered with appreciation and remorse for not engaging sooner.  Mildrew, I ask for forgiveness.

I have a 2010 burgundy SW with a whopping 1610 miles logged.  All mine I might add.  I use mine as a stress reliever and a way to just get away from all the mess in Houston.  Do I go far?  No.  Do I totally love my SW?  Yes!

I purchased my SW after doing extensive research on scooters and it became a battle between the Yamaha and the Honda.  No, I did not pick alphabetically.  I chose the Honda because I trust the product and I think the SW is a better looking scooter.

Thanks for providing this valuable site and I promise to be more active.

Hey PeaveyBassman, I was also a lurker before I joined for the very same reasons. Sometimes there is no point in joining a forum unless you are going to be a regular visitor or contributor.
I found this forum in the search for info on the Swing and it is a keeper.
Welcome to the forum.

Contrary to what others might think I don't really care whether new members introduce themselves or not. I've noticed a lot of new members don't bother when reminded to anyway. It says at the top of the cover page what you should do when joining, and there's hundreds of registered members on here no one's ever heard of.

You only have to look at the names of who's got a birthday coming up.  Rolling Eyes

I think it seems more bad manners, not to introduce yourself before asking for help. I must admit i get a little peeved when someone asks for information and you help, and they don't take the time to say thankyou, i have always made a point of thanking someone that has helped me.Smile
