| just bought silverwing..I've seen pictures of sw's with a taller wind screen...any thoughts...does it change the handling? does wind effect it other than more drag?? looking for a way to keep rain and cold wind off me...thanks |

| My take---don't get windshield so tall you have to look thru....good way to get killed think rain/snow/fog/bugs/reflections. All maxi scooters seem to have the basic problem of you nose being too far from tip of shield, buffeting is caused....what feels good in showroom not good at end of 500 mile day.
Silverwing can be quite comfortable wind/air management wise with GIVI adjustable shield...not cheap but works. I have purchased 10 new maxi scooters since 1990----SilverWing with GIVI adj works best. |

| Listen to John. Seriously, did I say that? Do a search on Givi AF 214 and LISTEN TO JOHN. |

| I really like my Givi adjustable wind screen. One of the top mods I made to the SW. |

| My advice? Try your steed FIRST before changing the windshield... I am happy with OEM unit and I have a friend on here that is also, so "if it ain't broke..." If you are truly not happy with the OEM then change it!!! |

+1 - Mostly because you will have a good point of reference and therefore be so truly pleased when you get your GIVI Airflow! |

| When I bought my SW it had the extra large Givi Screen on it. I rode with it my first full season. My line of site was just at the top of the screen. When it rained I had to stretch my neck and body to look over the screen. I did not like that so I replaced it with the adjustable after reading about it here on this forum. Thanks everyone. No regrets. |
