| I have just bought a 2004 SW. I am more familiar with old British stuff and two stroke at that so this is a bit of a change for me. Interested in the nuts and bolts and will need a manual soon. The only problem is trying to wheel it back when its cold, I am 15 stone and struggle to pull it backwards. Got one before I am too old to ride something like this. |

Welcome to the site. You will find many senior riders on this site. I am in my 60's. I started out on scooters and then graduated to motorcycles for many years. I am among those who have come full circle and decided to move from motorcycles back to something a little more practical. It takes a little while to get used to the weight of the scooter. The throttle response is a little tricky at first. The engine braking may surprise you. A great scooter once you learn it's traits. I hope that you enjoy your Silverwing. |

| Welcome Petrolderek, I too only rode bikes before getting my Silverwing three years ago. 34,500mls later, i wish I'd known about them earlier. You are not too far away from me. |

| Welcome pie eater ! I too am ageing and I came to the scooter from bikes. No problem, it will go anywhere you want (although not too good in potato fields DAMHIK!!) and you will enjoy life once you get the hang of things--it doesn't take that long !! |

| Howdy and from Texas. There is a wealth of information in the maintenance and pictorials sections. Good for those winter days when you can't ride. |

| Welcome. You'll find good company and lots of good info on your bike. Just being a member here is a great adventure. A virtual ride all in itself. So, when you are not riding outside, you can cruise quite comfortably here. |

| The Silver Wing makes a fine trike. I am rolling at just over 12,000 miles on mine and most are interstate speeds.
