Hello from not so sunny Scotland. I've been a lurker on here since buying SteveR's 2003 Swing back in September 2012. Thought it was about time I said hello and thanks to all who have posted helpful stuff on here.
I love my Swing, it's my daily ride in all but blizzard conditions and has performed like a trooper. Just about to replace my seat strut with one sourced from China (£8 delivered). Will be following Hotwings' helpful pics (for which once more, thanks for posting).
Use my bike just about every day for travelling to and from work (sometimes the long way just for fun), and last year did Glastonbury festival on it, which was great. To any Glasto goers out there I can recommend doing it by bike. It's taken a while (and a helpful password reset from Colin), but I'm looking forward to taking part in many of the interesting debates on here. Cheers!

I'm pleased to see that you found your way in.

You may want to consider changing your password to something only you know.  Wink

Welcome Wobble, i fitted the seat strut as advised by Hotwings(got mine from China,i think). I have a sheepskin i fitted over my seat and this made it a little too much weight for the existing one. Surprised you can keep riding with the weather your having in Scotland, but we ride when we can Hey!! Smile

The weather here in Scotland is actually quite good for this time of year. a bit wet, granted, but if you worry about a bit of rain then the west of Scotland is not the place to live!
The recent thread on 'do you scoot in the rain?' didn't half make me laugh though. If I didn't I'd never ride!

Welcome to the forum!  I spent a bit of time in Dunoon back in the late '70's & early '80's while in the U.S. Submarine Service.  Didn't have much time to do much sightseeing, but from what I did see, you have a beautiful country over there.  Never did quite get used to warm ale though!

Didn't one of the great US crooners record a song called "Fly Me To Dunoon".  Laughing
