Hello from England, Last month I bought a 2002 Silverwing 600. I had a Suzuki Burgman 400 before which was nice, but can not beat the smoothness of the Silverwing. I have got a few things to do, like put a Givi screen on, but it hasn't stopped rainning. I look forward to posting on this site. Jeff

It can rain all it wants; you don't have to shovel it. That's what we've got in Atlantic Canada this winter. But riding weather is just around the corner. Welcome to the forum, you are in fine company, when you are not out riding.

Thank you for your welcome. The weather men over here are blaming North America for our wet weather. It gets caught up in the jet stream and warms up. Our next Saturday storm has only just left New York. I hope you are all ok over there. But yes ridding season is just around the corner.

Welcome havelet 2013, WE keep telling our North American friends that we do not have a riding season. In the North West where i live, i have been riding all the time. Getting wet is part of riding, we dress accordingly, i still have been able to ride most days, last Saturday i couldn't reach one of my regular spots because the Coastgurd closed the road due to flooding. I just went to another spot, no problem.

Welcome to the Forum "havelet2013". You've definitely wound up at the right place. Can't say I'm sorry about all your rain tho'. We're climbing out of an unusually deep 14 inches of snow here in our little town of Harveyville, Kansas. Plus windchill of -22 deg F. the other morning. Had been getting use to some really mild winters the past three or four years but this one's turned out to be a real bummer so far. Anyway, welcome once again.

Hello and thanks again, hopefully this strange weather will end soon. The sun is shinning today although another Atlantic storm tonight. I have managed to fit the Givi screen today, I have been waiting for the windsreen garnish to come from the USA, on the original one the last owner has snapped the lugs and had glued it to the bulkhead panel. I though that if I was going to replace the windscreen I might as well replace that as well. The panel is due to arrive today. I do get rather jealous of you over there, as the prices are a lot cheaper for parts. The panel over here is 149 pounds were as in the USA it was 60 pounds with delivery, so under the circumstances I though I might as well wait. Just one quick question while I am here, I have bought some new NGK Iridium spark plugs, please could someone tell me if the gap is the same as the standard ones? Thanks Jeff

Do your news channels not show what's happening in Ye Olde England? Large areas have been under a couple of feet of water for several weeks, with no power and no assistance from the authorities. People are homeless. Places have been cut off. Sea defences have been breached. Many farmers are facing ruin. At least snow is fairly clean. Flood water is filthy and hangs arround. |

I fitted Iridium plugs havelet2013, same gap as standard plug. I put mine in at 8,000mls and they are still doing thier job at 37,000mls. I checked them at 16-24 and 32000mls and all was okay, and still getting 63mpg.
