Finally took the plunge, new member from Raleigh, NC

New member from Raleigh, NC.  Just bought a 2006 Silverwing with 5.8K miles on it.  Been riding sportbikes for a while and decided to finally go the practical way.  I'm glad I did.  Hope to meet other maxi-scooter riders in the area.

Welcome to the site and hope you enjoy it. i'm sure you will meet other riders out there too. Are you close to the Smokey mountains? I was stationed at Camp Lejeune and rode up there a couple of times.

Thank you guys. I am very new to maxi scooters but I think I'm liking it. Still have to get used to having a brake lever on the left hand instead of clutch. Same is true with trying to feel the foot brake lever when closing in to a stop. One thing for sure, in the few miles I've ridden the bike, she's never failed to put a smile in my face yet.

After a month with the SWing, I still have not really ridden it much. The weather has not been very nice lately. I think I only put about 500 miles on it so far. I still think its a fun ride. I still feel a little awkward at times specially with my feet not doing any work. I'm starting to feel the bumps on the road a little bit more due to the smaller wheels but its all good.
