| I have the airhawk cushion and they are great. The key is to put the least amount of air into it. I tried putting too much air in it thinking that would be more comfortable and it just bounces you around. You just want your butt to be just a fraction of an inch off of the seat. Once you get it the way you like it you will love it. That's a good price too. I think mine was about $150 for the large cruiser size. |

| The M is 14x14 My butt rest is raised so a L 14.5x18 seems like it would be longer than I need.I set all the way back.Im glad I found it at this price ,looked last week $139 was what I was seeing. |

There are three types of Airhawks. The cheaper one is the Airhawk 2. The material is a little thinner then the original Airhawk. The newest one is shaped more for a man's comfort. The price you quoted sounds like the Airhawk 2. Just thought I would point out the differences. I have the original. Been using it for 3 seasons. One of the best things I bought for the Swing. Had a little hole in it last year. The patch they give you with it worked perfect. Enjoy and ride safe. P.S. I have the medium cruiser and paid. $129. |

| Thanks Cathy,Yes it's the 2 for $78.The newest one is $155,cheapest I found .Wonder if its better....The shape does look more correct on the new one.The question is it better or just a product trying to keep up.I'm thinking if you set on air it not going to change if the air pouches are round ,square or triangle.Id buy the new one if there were any facts. Here I go again,an other search.lol |

| The newer cheaper version of the Airhawk is made from PVC, the original expensive ones are made from neoprene. I bought my neoprene Cruiser Medium from my Burgman 400 days and it's on it's second cover, but I don't use it much these days. I've probably mentioned this before but for years now I've found wearing synthetic seamless breathable underwear the key to all day comfort. No seams to cause pressure point 'hot spot's on my delicate butt cheeks. I got caught out a couple of weeks ago down in London when I attended the C2C Music Festival weekend at the O2 Arena. (Dixie Chicks, The Band Perry, Brooks & Dunn, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley etc)and unlike a lot of my fellow Brits I wasn't wandering round like a geriatric line dancer! ) On the first day I was squirming uncomfortably in my seat after a few hours and I was blaming the O2 seating. Back at our hotel I found the cause to be the cotton boxer shorts I was wearing with vertical seams in the butt area. Since Mrs M had kindly packed my stuff for the weekend, I can hardly complain. The next day I wore shorts with side seams and even after about six hours of sitting I was fine. Of course it's nothing to do with the Airhawk but a long time sitting in any seat with moisture absorbing cotton seamed underwear will give you Monkey Butt, so before buying that air cushion try some synthetic seamless underwear. Your long suffering bum will thank you, ... Or does bum just mean a homeless person in the US ? |

| We not only have homeless bums but also bums that after standing on the corner bumping money they go around the corner and get in their car that's nicer than I could ever afford. That's why I will only give out food to the homeless. |

I agree and started using these on my coast to coast in 2006 -- they work AWESOME! http://www.ldcomfort.com/index.html I also now use an AirHawk with a sheepskin tailored to fit over it. |

| This is an email I just sent to all my close friends and I used an Air Hawk pad. All I can say is there is nothing better.
Holey Molly Mucacho. 1200 miles in three days, and my 600 cc Honda scooter kept up with the top 10% and passing most of the 1200 cc.going up hills and in the curves, running in the fricken desert at 90 to 95 mph top spreed 110 going down a beautiful slight down hill, before seeing God and slowing down a bit.
I ride back with two brothers in Yamaha FJR 1200 to fast for me in the tight turns but OK on the rest. All back road twisty's I had the best three days of my life. (so far)
Ever been to Scottie's Castle in Death Valley? Kind of like the Hurst Castle in California, the 1900.
Mega millions in the desert, with the central heating and air conditioning all from an area that was in the middle of no were's land?
With the temperatures from way below 0 and above 125 deg.
This place had refrigerator with ice before ice boxes were invented! Hello, are you paying attention here? Money will deferentially buy happiness. :lol!: !
I was most impressed. Google it. www.ScottiesCastle.com
I highly recommend you and your clan make a trip some time before it gets to hot or get to old. Ha Ha
I know you are thinking I am stupid for doing what I did but you know what?
I will see you tomorrow, with just one more great story to tell and a big grin on my face.. |

| I have used an Airhawk as well and they are great. I'm going to try it on my CTX700 tomorrow going to work. But on the SWing it was great. And if you don't want to pay the money on an Airhawk there is a pad at Walmart, in the same isle as the steering wheel covers, for only about $20. It does very good too.

| I think butt hurt=people who do not ride everyday and not use bike for everything....then try to go out and sit for 8-12 hours!!.
No underwear under jeans works for me-------under leathers (not chaps!!) either very thin Korean long underwear or K Mart Long underwear if real cold. Ladies panty hose may work, too.
SilverWing has nice seat-----real secret to all day comfort----get off bike every hour or 50 miles, walk around, etc. Whole idea with scooter is not to hurry----all day ride you seem to get there at about same time and in better shape, taking breaks.
And knowing how to ride as dynamic part of bike helps-----just plopping on like toilet seat, can be done....but not good skillfull riding. Seen often in US.
Have past experience with bib overalls in summer----breezy and comfortable!! Like the choo choo kind. Looking for new pair.
Feet forward with spine taking the beating can cause problems. Have never wasted money on aftermarket seat. Extreme heat, beads let air flow--- |

| Posterior comfort has always been an issue for me -- big guy with little built in padding. With A good seat/pad combination I had been able to make 300 miles before a stop (if fuel held out). But in recent years my bladder has mutinied, and taken over the ship. Pirate/bladder holds a cutlass to my throat and demands we make a stop at 100-150 miles. Arrgh the joys of age. |
