| After two and half years and 11,400 miles of rubber band riding , I decided to trade in my Silverwing for a new Suzuki C50T . If the wing had shaft drive and an extra three inches in wheelbase it would have been nearly perfect . But I found it's just two cramped for me to ride on an extended trip.
This is a great forum with a lot of helpful and colorful characters including those out in Limeyland and the land of OZ.
Wishing you all the best

| Congrats on your new bike. Maybe you can give us a comparison of the 2 bikes one day. Hope you pop in from time to time to tell us how you like your C50T. I wish you the best as well. |

| SB, The C50 is a great bike. Fuses down on the bottom of the bike make no sense to me, but everything else is nice. My brother bought one and had them change the spokes for mags and has about 60k. I've confidence you will love it after you finish your personal mods If you ride much, may I suggest the Mustang seat as the first mod. Good luck. |

| Thanks all !
I just got an Airhawk seat cushion so I'm going to see how that works on the C50
Will be taking it down to Florida next month after I get it broken in |

| That's a great way to break a bike in and get used to it. I like the looks of them and looked at them too but just decided on the CTX. Do you have your bike now? I have sat on them many times and they are comfortable. |

Was at the dealer late yesterday and placed the deposit I pick it up Friday morning .
Had looked at a Shadow but decided that also was just too cramped for me after I sat on one

| Surly, I ride a my 1100 shadow sabre on weekends. I had it lowered 1.5 inches, bars moved back 3 inches too. I'm a little on the small side and can sit straight legged on the SW no problem. I can't see how anyone much over 5'8" could ride comfortably without seat and sheild mods. I prefer the shadow for fun, my SW is the best commuter I've owned. I hope you enjoy your C50 as much as I enjoy my sabre. |
