A new SWing rider in Princeton, MN

Hi All,

I met a new to SWing rider the other day at Coborn's in Princeton. He's had his Wing for a week or so and loves it. I told him about this forum and recommended that he sign up and log on. I mentioned how friendly you all are and of the great information that can be found here. If I remember right his Wing is a 2005 and look very nice. Hopefully I'll see him again and re-mention this forum.

I forgot to mention the ride I took yesterday (6-08-14). I went east out of Princeton on Hwy 95 with no real destination in mind. I ended up in Taylors Falls, MN and stopped at a Frosty Top drive in for a couple of ice cold Root Beers and a Cheeseburger. There were lots of Cycles on the road, probably because the weather was so nice. At the drive in a few of us shot the Bull for a while and I had a smoke before chowing down.

I headed south out of Taylors Falls, still on Hwy 95, for a while and stopped at a small roadside rest. There was a guy with a BMW cycle at the rest stop also and we shot the Bull for a while and discussed our bikes. I headed back the same way I came and headed home. I filled up the Wing in Princeton and checked the mileage and found I got 55.212 mpg on this tank. But then I was riding pretty much sane and averaged around 60 mph. All in all it was a great ride with fantastic weather and NO Wing problems.

It is a good scooter group in Minnesota and you might want to join it. They have a big scooter rally just about every year.

Thanks for the link JeffR. I bookmarked it and will check it out. It's always more fun to ride with others.

There is a great coffee shop in Taylors Falls, and another nice one in North Branch. If you had continued south on 95 you'd have come upon Scandia and Stillwater, both great places to stop.

The drive in in TF is really a quaint little stop and well worth the time spent.

Scandia and Stillwater are both nice towns to visit. My wife and I used to ride down there once in a while for lunch/dinner when the mood struck us. Any excuse for a good ride.

The Minn-Max group is a great bunch of folks. I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in their company while at a rally in northern MN a couple of years ago. Great folks, active group and active & informative forum.
