Greetings all,

I just acquired a red 2009 Silverwing ABS.

Great bike!. I've only taken it for a short spin but am hugely impressed. It handles well, has plenty of power, and seems extremely well put together.

I've only been riding for 4 years. My previous bikes were a 150cc clone, and a Burgman 400.

The clone was well, junk. The Burgman's a great bike but I felt I needed more oomph.

The Wing handles better, has power to spare, and fits me better than the Burgman.

I'm looking forward to some long road trips through BC and Alberta. I also will use the bike as my daily ride. We usually get 7-8 months of riding between blizzards, and sometimes in the dead of winter a chinook will blow in and we get to ride for a few hours or days.

I like to do my own maintenance and this forum seems to have a great deal of info.

Keep well

Welcome Mongo!

I have an 08 Wing and love it. So far my longest rides on it were a 220 mile round trip from home to Hill City, MN and another to Taylors Falls, MN about 130 miles. Both trips were a blast and the Wing handled and ran great.

Like others have said, there's lots of information on just about any subject you might need.
