| I contacted Dennis about a hitch and he said he closed his shop in June. I knew I should have asked sooner |

| I hope Dennis is ok. He hasn't signed in since July 28th. He is usually checking in almost daily. |

I could purchase a GPS mount to for Garmin to Silver Wing Ebay. Ram mount, fits on your left brake reservoir. Center mounting the gps on the handlebars has the potential to block the various indicator lights! |

Perhaps for some people, I'm 5' 10" and I have no problem seeing the indicator lights. |

I haven't had that problem using a TomTom Rider or larger Garmiin Zūmo sat nav/GPS. There's a RAM ball that is part of the Dennis B mount with a RAM arm attached to it and another RAM ball fixed to the back of the GPS unit. So you've got plenty of adjustment for height and angle at either end. The problem I've found with a centrally mounted GPS is sun glare than made the display on the TomTom unreadable. Fitting a Glare Buster shroud helps, so does adjusting the GPS downwards. I'm now using a lockable Touratech GPS cradle on my Garmin and used with a Large RAM that also locks, I have a set up I'm very pleased with.

| FWIW, I mounted a light radio head to the plastic handlebar cover in the middle - I just made a simple "T" bracket out of metal, bent the tail up to mount he radio head on it, and screwed it into the plastic. I keep bikes forever, so I'm not worried about resale. That said, that handlebar cover is all of $30 or so - so it's not a big deal to restore it to factory condition. If it was a big heavy GPS, I probably would do something different than this, but a light one might work this way too. |

| I made an aluminum bracket using the two bolts on the handlebar cover to attach my GPS. I prefer the centerline mount because one tends to go where you look. Less chance of veering to the side with a center mount. It didn't block my vision to any of the instrument panel or lights. |

| This is the hitch that I have on my Silverwing. I have used it to haul a rear cooler rack with motorcycle luggage and I have tested towing my trailer with it, but I probably won't tow with the Silverwing. http://www.motorcycle-hitch.com/ From their website: Here is a picture of my scooter with the hitch on it at Glacier National Park. The bike has the hitch rack adapter on it rather than a tow ball. |
