| Hello
I just got a new silverwing and I'm running it in. I've been riding bikes for 35 years but was knocked off a few years ago which has left me with pain in the hip when sitting on the normal bike position.
I was going to give up but a colleague suggested a scooter. After much research and a few test rides I found the silverwing to be very comfortable with a bit of go! I was able to get a good deal and so far am pleased, although it is completely different experience to ride.
I will use it for commuting mostly 16 miles each way to work, half back roads, half dual carriageway. I'm trying to trust the handling especially in the wet as scooters are new to me.
Hopefully the silverwing will be as good and reliable as I've read about. |

| Hello Oscar and welcome. My son has just bought an 2002 silverwing and me (dad) is sorting it out I have a slight issue with the back brake but no problems otherwise. If it helps My sons bike has done 172,483 miles from new and is running as sweet as a kitten. I think listening to members on this forum the secret is preventative maintanence and using the right liquids to maintain her. My sons has a documented history of oil and filter changes every 2,000 miles so thats why I think she's still going strong. I have rode it once and I got to admit compared to my old BSA's it's like riding a comfy armchair. Best of luck with your SW and keep on rolling regards Denzil |

| Oscar,
Welcome to the site and hope you enjoy it. You should really enjoy the SWing since it is very smooth and comfortable. There is also plenty of help here too so just ask away. Again, welcome. |

| Thanks All
Denzil
It was posts like yours and others I've seen with amazing high mileage that convinced me to buy the Swing.
