Announcement of site ownership

Hi,

I am posting this to inform the members that I have been given the ownership of the site.  So I am back again as the owner and will strive for this to be the "Friendliest Silver Wing site" on the web.

There will be some changes with the Moderators.  ColinB and Bigbird have stepped down from their positions.  MikeO is still an Administrator for the site as is Dan (DSpevack).

I would ask that everyone just be nice to one another and show respect to those of us here.

Iam very glad to hear this Jeff R. I hope you will consider re instating Meldrew to this site. I have never met Meldrew, but feel his contributions, although a bit harsh at times, did add interest and i must say I did agree with many of his obsevations. If we are all for free speech and individual expression then, surely, Meldrew had a right to his opinions , and after all what real harm,apart from hurt feelings, did his comments do?.

bring Meldrew back!!

I thank all those who run this site. In my opinion the information available on this site, plus the fast and open replies to questions greatly enhances the Silver Wing ownership experience. This site was key to my choice to buy a Silver Wing. In addition, this has spread to my husband who has also bought a Silver Wing.

Please keep the site vibrant and the information flowing. I am sure that many more of the people who look as guests, lurkers, and posters get great value from this site.

As far as some of the non-Silver Wing posts are concerned, and the varied tone of posts, I tend to focus on content with the understanding that we have multiple nationalities, people-types, and attitudes from the posters. I prefer a light, friendly, helpful post but at the same time know that many interact in different ways.

Meldrew can be here from my point of view I try to operate from the if you don't like something because the view is different, don't look. NOTHING is perfect and having a different point of view or idea is ok with me different ideas and experiences are good points of interest. Having successfully built and used a nice working motorcycle platform out of cement blocks is one different way of accomplishing a needed task.

This thread is a couple of years old. Suddenly having it reappear scared the b'jesus out of me.

That this forum continues to be relevant for so long while the others have withered is a testament to, Our Fearless Leader, JeffR's skills at herding cats.
