| Hello all:
We have had several emails from Silver Wing owners (not sure if referred from this site) asking whether we are (were) running our Christmas promotion again this year. The answer is YES! 30% off on all of our heat-reflective, water-proof seat covers through New Year's Eve. Free koozies for your stocking, too.
Check it out when you have a chance:

Happy Holidays to all - be safe.
Best,
Brian |

| I'm sorry, but... Does being a business entity give the okay to use profanity in a "user name" or any other part of the advertising??? Is it really that cute??? To me, no. I guess if it's the COOL thing to do, then it's going to be allowed. Just seems like there's no end to it. |

| Are you actually offended by the word "coolass?" |

| Sorry Dick O. Didn't mean to offend, but Genuine CoolAss is the name of the company and the products themselves are referred to as CoolAss.
We don't condone profanity in our advertising, but didn't consider "a**" in a logo or product name as such.
Regards,
Brian |

| Let's see... I think I understand now... such a small thing as a** in a logo or as a commercial name is certainly acceptable... to those who think it IS cool because "everybody" does it (since it's such a small thing)... Next we can graduate to "GenuineF**k'nA**" or even "GenuineS**tA**"... Won't this be great??? Oh yeah... be sure to let all the kiddies know too... Wouldn't want them to miss out on something "everyone" does. Get my drift?? Whenever a line has been drawn, there's always been someone to step over it because no one cares one iota anymore. Oh well... Have fun with it I guess....... |

| Wow - I don't know what to say. I guess I'll close this business and open a power puff factory.
Ride safe. And stay away from offensive signs along the way. |

| Just dropped in for 30s to explain why I'm not a mod or active here anymore. This thread and too many more like it are the reason. |

| Hello bigbird, I've just dropped in for my 30 seconds to say a better reason for not being active on here anymore is you don't have a Silver Wing. |

| Coolass does not offend me, but that might be because it has no particular inferance in the UK, unlike our homegrown FCUK whose products I will never buy on principle, if a company name offends you then the best action is to vote with your wallet. |

| That's because in the UK it would be "Cool Arse". The US version is just referring to a "Cold Donkey" |

| Hi JeffR, having finally had a look at these seat covers fitted to a scooter like a Vespa, I have to say they look like the foil wrapped burrito I ordered in Chipotle, in the Skyline Plaza shopping mall in Frankfurt on Thursday night.

| Really, they are foil? I wonder if that is how they keep the seat cool..by keeping the sun off of it. I never really had a problem with a hot seat but I'm sure those in the hot climates have this problem. |

| I see CoolAss seat covers here in Florida allot. They are silver but not foil. Almost like foil lamented to material. They do would good here in the hot Florida sun. One thing I'm not sure of is if it is big enough to fit a Silverwing seat with a backrest. |

| I have a golf towel that I drape over the seat on those really sunny days. This might be a classier version of that, but the golf towel looks good to me, and also is nice to have under the seat to dry it off on rainy days. Gotta love a multi-tasker. |

| I for one am not a wowser,(look it up) so I certainly would like to have a coolass here in Perth, and also a coolhand. Maybe one of those Bike mounted AC system suits could be good. Until then, I will continue with the icewater filled backpack water dispenser( for those that dont like the use of words like Camelback or Goanna) I leave the outlet tube a little loose so it slowly dribbles down my back, side and flanks. On longish rides sometimes I end up with a little puddle on the seat, but that's cool too. |

| Bummer! If they were not so expensive to import, I may have invested in one. I have used DuggleBogeys idea too, works well and even better if one can find a tree for shade.

| Hello all:
Love the interaction about CoolAss - what it is and what it's made of and so on!
In short, we've been making CoolAss since 2006 - have sold about 10,000 of them worldwide and make them in various sizes. The material, in its fifth generation and made exclusively for us, is a metalized polyester with several clear laminates for UV protection that are then all fused to a soft non-woven backing. CoolAss is heat-reflective, waterproof and unconditionally guaranteed.
With our current Christmas promotion, all covers are 30% off. And for our "down under" friends, we always do a January - March promotion we call "hot now" that offers big discounts to help offset the cost of shipping to Australia, New Zealand, EMEA and some areas of the Far East.
Check us out - www.GenuineCoolAss.com.
Best,
Brian |

| I'm in Dallas, TX and commute on a bike. I always keep my bike covered during the HOT Texas days. If you ever plop down on a black bike seat at high noon (in Dallas) during a 110 degree day you'll know why a CoolAss seat cover would be an asset (get it a** - et). Ha - guess the heat is getting to me but it's 28 outside now so I guess not. I love this site and all it's quirky folks - have a great New Years.... from soon-to-be-hot Dallas... :-) |

| This is Arizona, Ill look for a Coolass seat cover this spring. I had a sheep wool cover on my Goldwing and it was cool and comfortable. Fortunately it rarely rains here else that cover would soak up about 20 pounds of water and not, i say not be so comfortable (SLOG SLOG). |
