| this is a question for the ex goldwing and current gold wing owners. Has owning a Silver wing made you give up your gold wing ? I have a GL1100, a virago 750 and my silver wing, recently I managed to destroy a caliper on the wing removing and replacing a bleed nipple that was a swine to remove. As its a twin pot caliper (82 aspencade) they appear to be only available in the good ole US of A, caliper price not too bad but shipping cost is extortionate. Anyway what is happening is I more and more think now may be the time to sell it after 10 years (september and it will be the longest I've owned any vehicle!) rather than spend at least $100 to get another caliper and put it back on the road, i've always enjoyed riding it, but the 'Silver does seem to be taking its place. |

| I have had a GW for years. Got a SW two years ago. Last year added a Vulcan 900. I know I should sell one or more of the three bikes but... Honestly, I think the last one to go would be the GW. I probably will keep them all for at least another year trying to decide which one should go. The upside to having three is that the insurance for the third one is virtually free - $9/year. |
