Honda book recommend tires shown in handbook for my left over 2013 are IRC, bike worked fine. Front lasted near 25,000 miles, rear was replaced a couple of times by MIchelin Power Pure SC. IRC/Power Pure combo worked fine. Last Power Pure rear lasted just over 10,000 miles.....because it had to on return from Alaska.
Today subject----matched pair of Power Pure SC-----work ok but not as good as Stock IRC-----Turn in different=not as much fun. Real slow, bike feels more tippy, probably due to more square profile of new front. Probably will not kill me, BUT point, having used up at least 250-400 tires in 60 years of riding, I still feel manufacturer recommended OEM tires work best, period. Honda does test stuff!
As I recall Bridgetone were the recommend brand/type in my SilverWing book. 2009
After several hundred miles on the new front I have still a minor balance problem----I use "Ride-ON" as balance medium----re-read their instructions---added a little more---test=ok.
I do own tire work----in the past, always used my balance stand before I inflated tire just to see if there was severe out of balance, that could be somewhat corrected by sliding tire on rim, this time I didn't. Many bike shops can not spin balance scooter wheels/tires.
Point: be careful---in the best of conditions scooters do not handle as well as reg motorcycle
