Hello all!

I am new to this forum but have owned my Silverwing for a couple of years now even though I have not have had much time to ride. I am hoping that this summer I can finally get some miles put on it. My major interest right now is how to come up with a comfortable back rest for myself and to see if anyone has come up with a luggage rack.

Welcome SWriderdss!

I would highly recommend The Utopia Backrest which will be a lot more affordable to you in The US, as I had to pay to have it shipped to Vienna (Austria) AND pay import taxes! But it was still worth the money in my opinion and looks great on the bike Smile

With regards to a luggage rack, I have just ordered the side pannier racks from Fehling in Germany (the only company that make them for The Silverwing!), together with a pair of Givi E21ns, which is what they are designed for.. Should be great for my next ride to England! Smile

All the best

SteVe

welcome swriderdss welcome to the best Silverwing forum on the web. Here's a link to make your own backrest.
Leroy Beal backrest mod.
The backrest that SteVe mentioned is probably the best money can bye. I have one and it's nice.
I also have the Leroy Beal backrest mod and I've made a few for others and it works just about as good.
I would read through and look at all that are available before just getting the first one you see.
If you plan on doing your own maintenance you'll find you can do anything you need or want with the service manual and help from this forum.
I add the paragraph below for most new members because there's a lot of information in the links and may save you some work.
Here are some links(3 below in blue)that will help you learn a lot about your Silverwing. If you can't find what you need in the links below the search on this forum works good, and if you still need help just ask and someone will do what they can to answer your questions.

If you're riding solo it's worth looking at the Bikers Friend bag which doubles as a backrest; I bought one last year and found it very good.

I have it strapped more-or-less permanently to the seat:
