Looking To Trade My Swing For A 400

I'm looking to either sell my Swing - see my posting in the For Sale section - or maybe trade it for a Burgman 400 or a Majesty 400, etc.

Time to sell or maybe just downsize.

Good luck on selling your SWing and hope you get what you want for it. I had a Majesty and really enjoyed it a lot. It is like a less powerful SWing and was very smooth. Do you know about the clutch issue on the 2007 B400? I would suggest you get a 2008 or newer if you chose the Burgman. I think if I were to chose between the Majesty or a newer Burgman I think I would go with the Burgman. The only reason I would chose the Burgman is because of all the aftermarket parts you can get. It is tough to get things for the Majesty at times. But the Majesty was so, so smooth and I think it was just a wee bit smoother than my SWing. But good luck and tell us what you decide.

Hey thanks for the info Jeff. I don't really know anything about either of those bikes, but it occurred to
me that maybe downsizing might be a good way to go for now, at least as an option to selling.
I'm thinking I might just use the smaller bike to get me around town so we might be able to be a one car couple. But a 400 would also be ok on the interstate if I wanted to do that.

I appreciate your sharing your experience of the Majesty. It sounds like a great bike. I don't care so much about aftermarket accessories, but of course getting parts readily would be important. I'll see what comes along. If it turns out that a Burger comes along, I'll keep that 2007 issue in mind. Maybe it would be an older one anyway.

My experience from over 50,000 miles with 2 purchased new Burgman 400 of the new type-----they are lighter by at least 100-125 lbs than SilverWing but still just as rear weight biased as SilverWing. They have more dash features and plug in for vest.

#1 Traded as it had oil leak, that had engine out and apart 3 times, #2 I rode to 40,000 miles and liked but at 20,000 miles rear clutch destroyed itself/or just plain wore out----Suzuki paid for repair, including new belt.

I think Yamaha Majesty is not brought into US anymore. Yamaha does not stock parts for older machines as well as Honda or Suzuki

Mr Grinsel, if you are saying that Honda does not stock parts for older models you are incorrect. There are many parts still available for most obsolete Honda models.

I meant Honda and Suzuki can/do have parts for older models. As I recall Honda even has a special section in Europe for older stuff.
