Hi everybody !! I have just joined the forum, My name is Ken and I am from England. I am 70 years old, and have been riding all makes, and model, of bikes for forty years. I have just recovered from a major operation over the last seven months, to find that the K1600 GTL has become a bit heavy for me to cope with, and traded in for a Honda Silverwing 600cc. which I love.

Welcome Ken. Blimey! K1600GTL! I bet most people would find that a bit heavy major operation or not. Nice bike though - I bet that had lots of toys to play with on a long ride.

I hope you'll like the Silverwing. I've had mine about four years now after numerous bikes over thirty odd years and I still like it. The comfort and ease of use suits me very well.

There's lots of useful information and knowledgeable people on here. Whereabouts in the UK are you?

Keep safe, Cookie

Welcome Ken,

I hope you enjoy the fellowship here. I changed from big road cycles (Goldwings, Harleys, Kawasaki, and such for the same reason as you. Now at 71 I can tell you the Swing is not the raod cycle of the big guys but sure is nice and can do it all. I miss the big one on the road but the Swing rules 95% of my riding.

Again Welcome!!!

SteveO

Welcome bikemad, you have started out on the right foot by introducing yourself. There are a few Silver wing owners from the UK on this site. Like myself they' re lifelong riders who find the Silverwing an excellent mix of comfort with the cruising power of a large bike. Smile
