I've been lurking and enjoying this forum for quite some time -- finally decided I was overdue in joining it.
I've owned a 2006 Silverwing for three years, and absolutely love it. I owned a couple of different bikes back in the '70's, but dropped out until recently. I use my Silverwing mostly for enjoyment -- running errands, occasional day trips of 200-300 miles, and have taken it on one 4-day 1,250 mile trip.
I haven't done a lot of mods to my 'Wing, other than a Clearview windshield, a custom backrest, 2-way radio, a sheepskin for the seat, rear crash bars, a Givi top box, and a gps. The only maintence I've had to do (other than oil changes) in 3 years were to replace the battery, and new tires. These are great bikes.
In my spare time I have a "project bike" I'm resurrecting. I have kept a pictorial history of the project here: http://picasaweb.google.com/johnownby/ResurrectingA1972HondaSL125?feat=directlink
