| Given my overwhelming response to the August forum photo poll we now have Bounder's Texas sidecar photo selected from the Album to enjoy.

| What a beauty! A great match to this customized Silverwing. And I am sure it will still move along a great pace. I remember the Vespa scooters with side cars in the sixties, seventies and I think they barely had 5-6 hp. I would be looking for one of these, if my wife would still trust me to share a ride. |

| WOW .... I like this !!!
Must search out any details for this side car arrangement. There is room in my scooter garage (aka: shed) for one of these !

| Looks nice. But how is overall gearing reduced on SilverWing? Steering damper? Fork rake/trail? I rode sidecar outfits for over 40 years and enjoy them set up right.
Probably requires at least 50 HP to keep from getting run over.
Surely safer then trike, but skill required.
I read Texas Side Car just went out of business =sad |

| Cool ride. Wonder if that Swings seat is more comfortable than the oem? |

| Very nice picture and set-up of the SW. It has three wheels which are minimum to inspire confidence in my wife that it is safe to get on. Excellent choice: dropping hints that some of us may require more than two wheels !!!!! |

| A tele forked sidecar outfit isn't a trike and doesn't handle like one either. |

I think that might be a Russell Day-Long seat. And I sure would like to have one. |

| I can't find the current forum photo recruitment page, but may I say that the photo currently showing (silver SWing with hack) is a great photo. I've thought about putting a hack on my SWing...DMC, Jay, in Enumclaw, Washington, likes hacking SWings and has subframes and hardware...says the SWing does very well as a hack tug...
Nice rig! |
