Don't buy from Chinese internet sites!

It is a good idea to shop around when you buy a new jacket or helmet, but don't be tempted to buy from Chinese internet sites which advertise deals too good to be true.
A couple of my mates got skinned by a website called "http://www.pizzeriaschezmaggy.com/" which offers quality jackets and helmets at ridiculously low prices. Once they have your credit card details there is no receipt, no confirmation and the goods will never arrive.
I have also heard of sites that will send you a totally unrelated cheap item, just so they can prove that they have delivered. Makes it very hard to get your money back from the bank.
I buy a lot from Europe and US and have mostly had excellent service. But I only pay with Paypal or not at all.
Paying good money to a criminal just is not my idea of fun.

I agree: Chinese knockoffs are not up to snuff. They sell at those prices because they have no quality control. What you get is not always what's advertised !!!! I learned from buying the palm rest for the throttle for $3.00, shipping inc. I did not even have it on the throttle before the plastic snapped.
