| Opinions/advice, please:
I wonder if it's okay to drill a smallish hole in the grab rails towards the back end of each.
I want to fabricate a mounting point on each for a webbing strap to harness my Bikers Friend bag on the pillion seat. It won't have to take much load as these straps will just help locate the bag - most of the load is from me leaning back on it.
Thanks in advance. |

| Not sure how small "smallish" is, but, Yes. I've actually installed "footman's loops" aka strap brackets on my grab rails so that I could attach a cargo net when needed.

| Shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't drill it too close to an edge. |

| MikeO, I was just thinking: how about a flexible strap with a grommet that you can attach permanently with the fancy glues we have nowadays. Would save the drilling ! Jay. |
