| I have 'searched' and skimmed through the threads but can't find how to remove the front right pocket. I read elsewhere that squeezing the sides will do the trick.
There is a small screw at the rider's end of the pocket which I removed but was reluctant to squeeze too hard.
Any tips or hints, please?
Thanks in advance. |

| Hi Mike, You got it right. Just remove the screw and press the sides in and walk it on out. That's all there is to it. |

| Update! I referred here because the service manual is NOT clear on right pocket removal and I did not want to break it!!!
Just for information; squeezing the sides and pulling the pocket out to the front worked great!!! Thanks so much, love the info we have on here. I did spend a few minutes looking for a screw at front of pocket. My 2012 does NOT have one.
So for those of you with newer scoots, there is probably NOT a screw!!! |

My 2002, purchased used, did come with a similar spade sheet metal screw. I have removed that cubby several times to install a toggle switch for my front running lights. I also have my warning light controller installed all the way in the cubby. |

But dealer did tighten some coolant hoses at one point; perhaps they removed pocket and left screw out? Can't really see a need for it. |

| The two SWs I had one had a screw and one didn't. I really think they all did originally but people didn't bother to replace them after removing the box to check coolant. There really isn't much need for the screw as the box won't move once it's snapped back in. I did replace the missing one on my second SW, but then I'm that way. |

Interesting, mine has either never had one or it has been gone a long time and I have never noticed a buzz. Of course I keep a few things in that pocket... My 2012 is right at 20K miles now. |

| All three of mine have had the screw in place. My latest Silverwing, ColinB's ex, is not yet four years old and came with the screw. |

| Just pulled my right-side pocket out of the dash panel. There was no screw on mine but could see the metal bracket it would have screwed into. Like Silver Wing Guru, I will replace the screw. |
