| Dr Mike has been doing the Alaska Bike Run for many years. He was an avid poster on the Yahoo Silverwing forum starting in 2002 until he sold his Silverwing at 100+K miles to another forum member. Dr Mike continued his mission on a Goldwing, but we lost track of the scoot after that. There were several inquiries from others wanting to purchase the scoot.
Dr Mike has a great cause he's supporting. And, yes, given those circumstances, the Silverwing has proven to be bullet proof.

| Good man, that Dr. Mike. A tale of endurance of man and bike--for a good cause.
133,000 miles! Makes me ashamed I haven't even hit the 600 mile mark for the initial checkup on mine, despite having owned it since last August. Let's see, at 70 miles a month and a SW lasts for at least 133k miles, mine should be good for over 158 years! |
