| Hi! My name is Peter Anderson and I've just joined this forum. I live in Batemans Bay, NSW, Australia. This morning I paid my deposit on a brand new Honda SilverWing. I am currently riding a Honda CB900F Hornet (also known as a Honda 919 in some parts of the world).
I have ridden on and off for many years. When I retired nine years ago and moved to "The Bay" I bought a Vespa LX-150 mainly for running around town but soon regretted the decision as it was not the bike for long rides and touring. So after several years I got the Hornet and find it very good but not ideal for the sort of touring I have started to do. Also as I get older the Hornet has a few challenges for me. A cruiser or maxi scooter looked to be a good alternative. After test riding several varieties of both the SilverWing looks to be near deal (time will tell).
In Australia we have an organisation called "The Ulysses Club" whose motto is "Growing old disgracefully". Ulysses is for men and women over 50 (although junior members can be 45 - 50) and either ride a bike or have a partner who rides. My main interests in Ulysses are Saturday morning coffee rides up and down the coast, mid-week one-day rides and "lite touring" several times a year.
That's probably enough.
Regards, Peter |

| I just love my Silverwing and I hope you will feel the same way also. I belong to a retired scooter group about an hour from me. They call it SOS..Seniors On Scooter. I love to see people who are still adventuresome as they get older. Our group meets for breakfast on Thursday mornings and if the weather if nice off we go, many times for the entire day. A group of us also meet on Tuesday mornings and take off for a ride. I've ridden for four years with this group and it has been great. My joke is it is 25 older gentleman and me. Somehow I'm the only women who rides...but I can take it...LOL |

| Hello, Peter!
Do you know George, Dr Chip - rides a T-max? I think he lives in Bunbury. |

I think he lives in Bunbury. Mike, Hi! I'm sorry but I don't know George. I live on the south-east coast of Australia while Bunbury is on the south-west coast (say like Massachusetts in the USA and George living in California -- Australia is similar in size to the USA). We do have some members of our Ulysses group going over to Western Australia for the Ulysses AGM next year (4 day ride each way). Regards, Peter |
