| Wondering what type of jacket to purchase for summertime tour. Have looked at tourmaster transition 4 ( with venture pants ). Are these accessories a good idea? |

| I have an older Tourmaster jacket similar to that. It's held up very well in the past twelve years over many miles on my Goldwings and other bikes. Took it with me on my West to East ride a few years ago. I still use it on my scooter mostly during the winter with it's liner. Still waterproof too. For summer riding I prefer a mesh jacket with back, shoulder and elbow armor. The mesh is cooler than bare arms when moving. I have a liner for it in case of rain. |

| I have a mesh Joe Rocket Phoenix Ion. Nice that it has zip out waterproof liner and a insulated vest. Makes it an all year round jacket here in SWFL. http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/index.cfm/332/573/Mesh_Jackets/Phoenix_Ion_Mesh_Jacket |

| I have a Tourmaster mesh jacket that has worked well for eight years now. Nice quality with no rips or tears or any noticeable wear, actually.
Here in Dallas, I use it most of the year. Have an Aerostich Darien jacket for cooler weather--5 months a year here. Also have an Aerostich Roadcrafter one-piece but never use it--would probably be more useful up there in Canada. |

| I have Darien Light, hi-vis -- works to about 85 degrees F. Works well for most riding--water proof and good venting. Too cold for me in "real" winter
Gave Mesh jacket to friend----it still had hot spots in summer.
Pants? Jeans and don't crash.
Rain pants---Joe Rocket
I do have pr of Darien Lite pants, tend to wear them with only underwear---really too hot in summer
Last: like cheap leather jacket, covered by Joe Rocket XL rainjacket if wet.
After 61 years of riding in all weather----really nothing perfect....and comfortable for all conditions. |

| I have a pair of 'Draggin Jeans' and a pair of 'Sliders' both are jeans with Kevlar reinforcement in the critical areas of knees, hips, etc. I mostly wear them on longer rides but should more often. I have had a bit of 'closet shrinkage' which doesn't help either. But these pants can save a lot of hide if you make an unplanned dismount. Definitely worth having a pair.

| I have used a Bilt Blaze mesh armored jacket for 4 years. The black color has faded a bit but jacket is in great shape other wise! This is the most comfortable motorcycle jacket I have ever had. No waterproof liners but living in Arizona this is NOT a big deal for me, if it rains I get wet! LOL I have a armored leather jacket for the couple of months it is needed here. I wish my jacket was Hi-Vis but was not available. My helmet is however!!!

| I have a joe rocket Phoenix, about like the pic of Hanksters. It works well. I crashed in one couple years ago and even though it was trashed I had no scratches to upper body. Winter I have a Joe Rocket in Red and Black. I do like Tourmaster products too. |
