I'm new to scooters, but,not to motorcycling.
A few months ago, I bought a 2010 Swing with 31 miles on it. Story goes a guy bought it for his wife, she rode it a couple of times and didn't like it. For some reason, they recently sold it back to the dealer. I had the dealer change all fluids and put new tires on it (just because of their age). Now it has 1,700 miles on it. Really like not changing gears and the initial torque this ride has. Still not used to not down shifting when stopping.
I'm nearly 70 and have had many rides over the years. First was a 50 cc Sears moped. Second was a 1949 model 45 Harley with 3 speed shift on the tank and foot clutch. Should have kept that one.
I've had many Goldwings both GL1500 & 1800. Miss the cruise control and radio. The Goldwing just got too heavy for me to handle. The Swing is a blast to ride and I can still keep up with my touring buddies on their bigger bikes.
I'm learning a lot about the Swing from this site. It has mostly friendly people with good info.
