| I bought a pair of mirrors for my Kawasaki KLV1000 a year or so back and thought they would look good on the SWing. The position is fine for me but check my photos.
They're probably cheaper than some extenders and look neater. The quality is good - they've been on my KLV for about 18mnths and quite streamlined.
Anyway, I ordered another pair for £14.50 and these have rubber covers over the stems too.
I did want to put a link here to the ebay item but forum rules forbid - here's the ebay item number 111896616735
I'll post some pics with my original pair that I fitted to the SWing - Attachments

| I agree, fitting extended length mirrors is a better looking solution and hardly costs any more. |

| Did you take the ones from your current bike and try them on the Swing? I say this because the thread may be different. |

| Yes, I even put the SWing mirrors on the KLV1000 just in case I need to use it before the new ones arrive here's another pic along with the KLV and SWing mirrors on it. - Attachments

| I agree that replacement mirrors look better than extenders. Nonetheless, I went with extenders to get two handy mounting points for electronics, etc. Besides, I'm on a geezer scooter, why worry now about looks?? |

| I'd argue that the price of the mirrors isn't much more than extenders. The extenders I put on my SW(S) cost around $14.00. Not too easy to get a pair of decent mirrors for that price. |

| The pair I ordered arrived yesterday, and I'm very pleased with them. They have friction nuts so can be adjusted to take a knock and/or simply be pushed in towards the handlebar - may be handy if your filtering skills fail!
A rubber boot covers the base to keep the worst of the weather out (although I applied some anti-corrosion grease on installation) and the position suits my bulk just fine.
I was impressed with the pair I bought for my KLV1000 a year ago, but these are better still and only a couple of pounds more. |

| WOAH THERE, HANG FIRE A MINUTE! The item I gave the eBay number to in my first post was sold to me at £14.50. I just went back to consider ordering another pair for my KLV1000 and the seller has put the price up 200% - yep, that's right he's DOUBLED the price. As I said, about a year ago I paid £12.50 for the mirrors that are almost identical. If you look for similar items, I've seen them on eBay for around £15-£20, so I think that the seller I used must've had a few buyers (from this forum?) and thought he was on to a good thing. I'll never buy from him again |

| just broke one of my mirrors while re sticking wide angle dome things to them. damn finger went straight through the glass while applying slight pressure. priced a new pair but have ordered burgman style new ones from ebay as not a lot of difference £26. silverwings mirrors are very poor so lets hope these are much better. |

| I'd argue that the SW mirrors are of good quality, merely too short in the stalks. You won't push your finger through the OEM mirrors. The mirror extensions available are also of good quality ad don't look out of place on the bike. |

| sorry they were OEM mirrors and i do use mirror extensions. i had a burgman 400 and found their mirrors far superior hence why they are to be fitted. better safe than sorry. |

| Actually I liked the location of the Burgman 650's mirrors better than any other scooter I've ridden or owned. My BMW 1100LT had similar mirrors below the handlebars as does the big Burgman. Much better location, and give a good view behind the bike without excessive width.
It was a disappointment that my BMW 650GT has lousy mirrors as well as the SW. Even worse, on the GT there's no practical way to correct the situation. It's odd since BMW has located mirrors on several bike models under the handlebars. |

| I installed turn signal mirrors and also used the extensions and they work great. Here is a video that I posted.
