| Hi Everyone,
I just bought my 2004 Silver FSC600D yesterday, has only 17K miles on it, rode it 150 miles home and other than how badly the wind was on driving, I absolutely love it. I've been riding 800lb Goldwings the last 20 years and it's a little too much bike (800lbs) for this 5'7" 63-year old frame. I guess we all age differently. The SW was a pleasure to handle. I have some questions:
1) I want to get the highest and widest windshield possible with no vent. I've been shopping around. Any suggestions. Many online stores are out of stock. I'm considering TiteBike, Clearview and TwistedThrottle.
2) The bike did not come with the toolkit. Does Honda still sell it? If not, where can I go? I supposed I can just buy the tools individually.
3) I assume I have the FSC600D because the ABS light has no image where the light would be. Is there any other way to determine if I have ABS ?
4) I miss intercom that I had on the GoldWing. I drive with 2 up sometimes. Can someone recommend an aftermarket intercom system?
5) I like to listen to music when I drive. Can someone recommend a good aftermarket XM radio setup?
6) I want to install a power point. I'm well aware of not overloading the max ampage from the battery. Can someone recommend a good system for installing a power point? By powerpoint I mean like a car powerpoint.
That's it for now. I look forward to reading all the posts on this forum as I always learn a lot from other people.
Happy riding all, ride safe and watch out for the cagers !

| Welcome to the forum Thorne.
Regarding your windscreen question, it is almost universally agreed that the most effective windscreen is the Givi AF214 AirFlow screen. But the tallest & widest would be a Clearview windscreen. They are kind of custom sized. Either screen will be a marked improvement over the OEM screen, but a barn door size Clearview might prove to be too much --especially if you are of the "look thru the screen" persuasion.
Keep in mind that the S'Wing, with its small twitchy wheels, is not a Gold Wing and responds differently to cross winds and truck wash.

| Thanks, Tim. I went with an F4 Customs on my Goldwing, largest they sell and loved it. I am a look-thru-screen guy, using rainX to keep rain that slides off the windshield.
I went with the XL and widest Clearview...not cheap ! I didn't like that the Givi has those brackets that seem to get in the way of road visibility.
Yeah, the wind driving the SW home yesterday was unreal, scary at first until I remembered to keep a light grip and not to fight the wind. But at one point I felt the wind would almost throw me off the seat.
Next step for me is increasing visibility via lighting. I already purchased the AdMore light bar. |

| All of your questions have probably been answered.
By putting the individual subjects in the search box (upper left corner) you should see them discussed. Also you may gain information that is not included in new responses. |
