| I've been away on holiday for a week and today when I've logged into the forum I'm getting an alert from my Avast antivirus stating that it had blocked a threat. Whatever I click onto it shows this threat warning. All was ok before I went on holiday and all other websites are ok. Is anyone else having this problem ? I've done a google search and found this https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/www.silverwing600.com/ It doesn't mean a lot to me but it does show malware infection. Can the moderators check and confirm if the site is ok or not.

| Den,
I can't see how this site can have malware since it uses the platform 'phpBB'. But I will go to that site that supports this site and thousands of others and see if they have reported anything. I also haven't had anyone report anything like this. Are you using Google or Firefox? I know google was having a problem for some but they corrected this. I will get back after I check the site that owns the platform for this site. |

| Jeff............Just to clear this up, I've logged into the forum today and all is well again. No threats detected. I use Firefox and it's been ok until yesterday so I really don't know what was going on but thought it's best to report this before it became a problem to anyone else.

| Occasionally, my Avast protection gives a warning on a site I've logged on to, some I use regularly, some not. I don't much understand these matters but I guess something nasty latches on to a site at random then gets 'dealt with' and disappears. |

| Yeah Mike...It's kinda like the very end of the first ALIEN movie with Sigourney Weaver. She opened the main air lock and then hit it with a powered grapping hook to get it out the door and then she hit the main thrusters to FRY it....Kinda like that? |

| Hey Mike, I got an invite to go and meet with Dr. Brain May, here in Tulsa next Saturday the 16th. He's very involved with 3D imaging has become a leading advocate for astronomy.
And
For those who are wondering...the lead guitarist for the rock group Queen.
Very cool. |

| Den,
Thanks for reporting this and I was in the 'background' with the forum support site and no one was reporting anything. I searched for any past reports and could not find any reports of any site being effected. There were posts about it being because of whatever system people use. That is why I asked about Firefox or Chrome, or others really, since they said it was probably what people are using. But thanks for reporting this.
I know I had problem with Chrome and people reported it to Chrome but it seems ok now. |

| Cor! I'm green with envy, Dennis!
He comes over on TV as a very nice man as well as a knowledgeable astronomer (and great guitarist). I hope you have a pleasurable, memorable time with him.

| Looking at the linked page from Terrier's post, it would appear to be a typical "You're Infected" ad. It's designed to scare you into downloading an app, or in this case subscribing to a security service.
They almost always look like a scan result page, but the infections shown do not exist.
