| My Silverwing just turned 8k. I got my 09 in March and have just loved this bike. At the tune up I'm having a outlet put in for a future GPS. I looked into both the Givi and Clearview windshields but they are all too tall for me and getting them cut down feels like one more thing to do. I wanted it to keep the wind off my hands. I ended up buying Polar Hands which are long muffs to keep the wind off my hands. I took off this morning with the temps in the low 40's and it did keep the wind off but my hand were still cold. I changed to my heavy gloves but then it was hard to use the controls. So I ordered heated grips and will use them along with the muffs. I think that way it should warm up my whole hand and I should be able to use light gloves and work the controls better...we will see. |

There is a similar product called Hippo Hands: http://www.hippohands.com/HHMediumWMws.htm
Hippo Hands also offers fork gaiters to protect the exposed area of the front forks: http://www.hippohands.com/Fork%20Protectors.htm |
