| Traded the Reflex, just got tired of WOT everywhere. Much more comfort in the S wing. The seat back kind of needs some work for comfort. Any suggestions welcome. |

| Welcome to the forum Stainless.
Comfort? Raise the butt rest/back rest the same way the guys did on the Reflex forum.

| Welcome to the site.
The Silverwing is a great scooter and you have come to a great place for information on it. I have a Silverwing and my wife has a Reflex. They are both great bikes. If I am going to the store, I generally hop on her Reflex as it is more agile and about 150 lbs lighter.
The Reflex has an unusual variator as half the rollers have a mechanical stop to cause the gear ratio to shift up quickly which limits the rpm to 4000 rpm until your reach about 35 mph. It helps the mileage a bit but kills the low speed acceleration.
I changed the Reflex drive belt a couple of years ago and while I was in there, I replaced the rollers with sliders and bought the variator faces from a Big Rukus (PS250). The Big Rukus doesn't use the crazy two step variator. The faces are direct replacements. It really woke up the bike for a 250cc scooter. The sliders gave It a lower starting gear which launches it much better and it immediately revs to about 5500 rpm. My wife can leave my Silverwing in the dust till about 30 mph now.
I hope that you get as much enjoyment from your scooter as we have gotten from ours. |

| My 86 Helix will leave just about everybody in its dust until about 78 km/h. I stopped those crazy take-offs because it tends to piss off all kinds of people, even sleepy 80yr-old drivers and they chase me like they want to run me over. Harley riders are the worst: sorest losers, albeit for about 100 yards or so !!! Jay. |

| Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. I still miss the nimble feel of the 300lb reflex but at 70mph cruise it was almost out of its element. No wiggle room for passing . The Swing is just getting its stride at 70. I put 10k miles minimum per year commuting from Orlando to Disney and home again. Cheers all! |
