Soup of the Day Empty
PostSubject: Soup of the Day   Soup of the Day I_icon_minitimeFri Jan 06, 2017 2:41 pm

Thought about starting a topic that members can add too as the Winter months slide by...A little day to day of what I did to pass the time and to stay warm.
Jan. 6, 2017

NE Oklahoma, woke this morning to 3 inches of fresh snow and 12 degrees F. Turned up the house heater and started a small propane heater in the living room while I got my socks on. It's a MisterHeater, Bigbuddy. Works good for instant heat.

COFFEE...NEED COFFEE. Got the water boiling. I make drip coffee using an old Mistercoffee filter folder over my cup and pour hot water over my ground fresh ground beans. Soooo Good.

Made myself some breakfast (eggs sausage and wheat toast). and got my computer fired up....And more coffee.

A little work was needed out side, so at noon it was getting bundled up and off to clean the walkway and driveway.... Now that's done.

Hot vegetable beef soup for lunch...BRING ON THE DAY>>>I'M READY.

Waiting for the mail. Wink

I use a pour over coffee maker too. Mine is a Melitta cone. Makes great coffee. It goes with me on my camping trips.

Seahawks play Detroit Lions tomorrow.

My bikes have been iced in for a week now. Warmer temperatures on the way, which will thaw out my drive.

Well, Tuesday this week, a buddy and I took a car trip to Pickerington, Ohio to check out the AMA Hall of Fame.  We spent about 4 hours looking at and reading everything printed about all the exhibits. I highly recommend the museum if you're in the neighborhood. Incidentally, we spent 8 hours at the Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton on Wednesday; another great museum.  I don't think it got over 20 degrees on Wednesday, so a really good day to be indoors!
